Jointly designed and tested 12 solutions stemming from the city pilots O.2.1; 1 training program O.3.2 stemming from A.3.2; 1 Climate Sandbox tool O.2.2, stemming from A.2.1-A.2.4; 1 online vulnerability assessment toolkit for cities O.1.2. The 12 models for UHI-prevention and counteraction help to close gaps in knowledge and practice concerning UHI vulnerability and adaptation. The training program O.3.2 aims to facilitate uptake; provisions for adopting & replicating the solutions will be included in the city action plans (Act. 3.2). At administrative level, the solutions will improve the governance and coordination of adaptation measures locally, creating institutional frameworks for replication and upscaling. City planners learn to prioritise climate adaptation measures and the application of validated standards for climate-proofing projects. Local communities benefit from an improved living environment, increased information & collaboration with city authorities on issue of UHI.
