Successful kick-off meeting in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
On 4 and 5 April 2024, the kick-off meeting of the project "Enhancing capacities for technology transfer, company building and innovations in the field of ICT" (CapTTict) took place in the Romanian university town of Cluj-Napoca. The aim of the project is to support the development of technology and knowledge transfer in 9 countries in the Danube Region.
The meeting was attended by all 16 project partners from the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Romania and Ukraine.
During the meeting, the representatives of each partner provided valuable information and insights into the issues of searching for new technologies, preparation of the incubation/acceleration programme - Danube Digital Accelerator for ICT, which will enable the support and development of promising technologies, mapping of the innovation ecosystem at international level, as well as the development of strategies for smart specialisation (S3) in 4 non-EU partner countries (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Ukraine).
According to the discussions and exchange of information, the CapTTict project brings together partner organisations at a high level of expertise with the potential to transfer good practice in the field of technology transfer and entrepreneurship promotion. The international dimension of the project creates the potential for networking and cooperation abroad.
The next steps within the project are in particular the setting up of a common framework for the identification of suitable promising technology/entrepreneurial ideas, the actual selection of ideas and the setting up of a training and mentoring programme to support their further development.
