About us

The ANCHOR consortium covers an extensive part of the Danube Region. The cooperation of 12 partners from 8 countries (+7 ASP partners) enables the creation of common practices and values to improve institutional capacities for better labour market governance to effectively tackle negative impacts of demographic change. When putting together the partnership, it was an important aspect to involve non-EU member states, because they struggle with specific challenges in connection with brain drain and labour market integration.

Project activities, responsibilities and budget allocation are well distributed. In order to ensure an integrated territorial approach partners are divided into three groups: 1) TERRITORIAL PARTNERS are responsible for the implementation of activities on a territorial level: PP2, PP5, PP6, PP8, PP9, PP11 and PP12 will create partner profiles and based on them local action plans, set the multilevel governance structure (local labour market forum), prepare and implement pilot actions, fill in and use the online transnational labour market observatory and knowledge platform, participate in mainstreaming activity; 2) KNOWLEDGE PROVIDERS have specific thematic expertise covered in the project. LP1,PP4, PP7 and PP10 will prepare the theoretical information, studies, methodologies and support the territorial partners with their expertise in the implementation of key activities (each equipped with specific strengths and know-how that is complementary to other partners); 3) KNOWLEDGE TERRITORIAL PARTNERS are partners with both roles as territorial partners who will implement actions on a local level and as providers of support in the implementation of key activities: PP3 and PP6. The project relies on a balanced group of local partners, research, development, NGO and also SMEs partners (which reflects also the quadruple helix approach). Through the involvement of representatives of different geographical levels (local authorities, regional development agencies, research institutions, and national bodies as ASPs, and SMEs) integrated territorial approach is also present. The partnership was built on the transnational, multilevel and intersectoral levels. Due to their expertise, all partners have the capacity to manage a transnational project without any doubts. To ensure the sustainability of project results, LP and PP3 will be in charge of disseminating the project knowledge across the Danube Region and will wield its network of local and regional authorities to communicate and connect with replicating cities and institutions.
