EU Mobility Week in Chisinau

The Municipality of Chisinau marked the "European Mobility Week" with a program of activities aimed at promoting the importance of public transport and raising awareness among the city's inhabitants regarding the benefits of using sustainable means of transport.

The local public authority has prepared a varied program, under the heading „A day without cars”, dedicated to promoting sustainable urban mobility.

The event took place on Saturday, September 21, 2024,between 10:00 and 20:00, during which three segments of streets in the city center were closed for the inhabitants and visitors of the event, to provide the opportunity to enjoy a unique space of relaxation.

The program of activities included:

- a prize raffle;

- activities for all ages using bicycles and scooters;

- fun for children: drawing contests on the asphalt, interactive road safety lessons, tourist trolleybus tours and trolleybus driving demonstrations. The most creative drawings were awarded and the children received ice cream.

This event was organized in collaboration with the Municipal Enterprise "Regia Transport Electric Chisinau", Î.M. "Urban Bus Park", "Automobile Club Moldova" Organization, Andrey Tchimil Bike Company, Bolt Company, Police of the Republic of Moldova, etc.
