Meet our pilots - Ptuj (Slovenia)

Our next featured CITYWALK2.0 pilot comes from the beautiful historic city of Ptuj, where the team is implementing a creative and impactful street redesign initiative: Totems in front of schools in Ptuj. The city installed a series of colourful, eye-catching totems in front of multiple school buildings. These totems aim to:

- increase the visibility and safety of school zones,

- encourage slower car traffic,

- promote active mobility among children and parents,

- and create a more people-friendly environment around educational institutions.

This multi-location approach shows Ptuj’s strong commitment to making school surroundings safer, more inviting, and more walkable for its youngest citizens.
