Third Meeting in Chișinău,

The third partner meeting of the CITYWALK 2.0 project took place in Chișinău, Moldova, bringing together project partners to review progress, discuss key milestones, and plan future steps. The three-day event was hosted by the Municipality of Chișinău and provided valuable insights into sustainable urban mobility developments in the region.

The meeting commenced with a welcome speech from Mr. Ilie Ceban, Deputy Mayor of Chișinău, who greeted project partners on behalf of the city. Following this, the CITYWALK 2.0 team reviewed the project's progress, with Béla Kézy and Helmut Schrom-Feiertag presenting the status of Specific Objectives 1 and 2. Valentina and Helmut also introduced the Roadmaps for Street Re-Design and Travel Behavior Pilot Actions, which generated engaging discussions. The day concluded with a dynamic Co-Creation Workshop led by Tadej Brezina, focusing on innovative urban mobility solutions.

The second day featured key strategic discussions, starting with a Steering Committee meeting where governance and implementation challenges were addressed. This was followed by the First Year Review session with Project Officer Horst Schindler and Mirjana Arsenić Petrović from the Interreg Danube Joint Secretariat, ensuring that the project aligns with program expectations and objectives.

The final day of the meeting included a presentation by Irene Bittner from the Austrian Energy Agency, who introduced the Active2Public Transport capacity-building initiative. This was followed by a wrap-up discussion summarizing the meeting's key takeaways and next steps. As a special cultural highlight, the project partners were invited to attend the Queen Maria ceremony, hosted by the Municipality of Chișinău, marking a memorable conclusion to the event.

The meeting successfully strengthened collaboration among partners and reinforced the commitment to promoting sustainable mobility solutions across the Danube region. A heartfelt thank you to our hosts in Chișinău for their warm hospitality and excellent organization!
