Every year on October 31, the world celebrates sustainable, inclusive, and forward-looking cities - a moment to reflect on how urban spaces can better serve the people who live in them.
This year’s theme, “People-Centered Urban Design,” couldn’t align more closely with the mission of CITYWALK2.0. Across the Danube Region, our partner cities are testing and co-creating ways to promote active mobility, reclaim public space, and design streets made for people - not just for cars.
For us, building people-centered cities is about more than improving infrastructure - it’s about connection, accessibility, and shared ownership of urban space. Together, we’re shaping greener, more livable, and more walkable cities for everyone.
Let’s celebrate cities that put people first - today, tomorrow, and every day!
