CultHeRit gathered its partners in Bucharest, Romania

Project Title: Partnership meeting

Organized by: National Institute of Heritage

The meeting was held within the framework of the CultHeRit project, which addresses the challenges of youth employment in the cultural sector. Recognizing the increasing demand for qualified young professionals in cultural institutions and organizations, the project aims to support the development of long-term strategies that improve employ ability and professional integration in the sector.

The main objectives of the meeting were:

• Sharing the experiences between the mentors & mentees

• Sharing the experiences about employment model within partners in the project

• Advocacy campaign – content of the campaging, tasks & responsibilities

• Evaluation of the transnational aspirational employment model

• Facilitating the exchange of experiences and good practices among stakeholders in the cultural sector.

• Identifying key challenges and structural barriers faced by young professionals.

• Proposing initial recommendations and outline future steps for improving employment pathways

Participants engaged in structured discussions on the following themes:

· Limited entry-level opportunities and lack of systemic support mechanisms

· The gap between education and actual labor market demands in the cultural sector

· The potential of mentoring programs, internships, and cross-sectoral partnerships

· Public funding schemes and employment incentives at the national and local levels

· Film presenting the employment situation in CHIM

Participants emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and collaboration across sectors. The meeting was evaluated as a valuable step toward creating more inclusive and sustainable cultural employment policies.

The active involvement of young professionals in shaping cultural policy is no longer optional—it is essential for the sector’s vitality and resilience.
