The project's main objective is to further support the effective and efficient EUSDR implementation. The well established structures of EUSDR and PA 8 support for SMEs including the Working Groups, the close, intense cooperation between Steering Group members and further relevant stakeholders are crucial and great benefit for mastering the multiple crisis’ with Corona pandemic, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the impacts and threats due to climate change. These crisis’ have dramatically demonstrated the enormous risks to companies (value chains, energy supply, etc.) in the Danube Region. With PA8, Baden-Württemberg and Croatia have assumed responsibility for the key area of business in the EUSDR. Increasing resilience offers great opportunities for the Danube Region, which must also be further developed in the course of the work of PA 8. The European Green Deal and the Fitfor55 package are also of great importance for the further implementation of EUSDR and the competiveness of companies. By fostering the linkages among relevant stakeholders, spreading information including best practice, offering education, enhancing cooperation concerning relevant topics like digitalisation, artificial intelligence, innovation, resource efficiency, circular economy or bioeconomy, initiating projects, the coordination of PA8 is creating an added value to all stakeholders and companies in the Danube Region. Implementing and further developing the action plan in a close discussion with all PA 8 stakeholders, identifying the various needs and then implementing the decisions and resolutions of the SG members is the focus of the project. In detail the project will facilitate on embedding of the EUSDR into EU-funded programmes, support policy development and policy initiatives as well as usage of cutting-edge knowledge. Thus, two Flagship projects will be developed. Finally, the objective of the project is to improve the visibility of the EUSDR.
