Workshop III: Explore Hungarian Home Care Services, Innovations, and Best Practices
Caring Communities: Insights from our event in Budapest
And it was a blast, our third Danube Region Homecare and Community-Based Services Workshop last week! A huge thank you to everyone to all our partners who joined us in Budapest, and to our fantastic hosts, TOOSZ!
The event was packed with insightful discussions on innovating care solutions, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and strengthening community-based support for elderly and vulnerable communities.
Sustainable elderly care – Led by Anikó Soltész, this session explored empathy mapping and digital skill development to help communities better meet the evolving needs of aging populations.
Opportunities for small villages to innovate in care – Dr. Csilla Dienes Biróné shared the inspiring case of Szamossályi, a Hungarian village proving that high-quality homecare and social services are possible even with limited resources through:
tailored rural solutions,
engaging local stakeholders,
creative partnerships & resource-sharing
Community-based support in Hungary – our speaker Tóth Teodóra provided valuable insights into how Hungary organizes and delivers local care services for older adults and vulnerable groups.
The power of cross-sector collaboration – A key theme of the workshop was the importance of civil-private partnerships in driving meaningful social impact. Civil Impact delivered an engaging presentation on how NGOs can strengthen their business development skills and work effectively with private enterprises to scale innovative solutions.
It was a real pleasure to have everybody on board, to hear all of these information! Stay tuned for more insights, more workshops and opportunities to collaborate in advancing homecare and community-based services across the Danube Region!
