Workshop V: Home-Based Socio-Medical Services in Moldova: Legislation, Digitalization, and Specialized Care

Our latest workshop offered a deep dive into Moldova’s evolving landscape of home- and community-based care, featuring four compelling sessions:

🟣 Oleg Barcari from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection provided a strategic overview of Moldova’s national care policies, setting the stage for a system-wide shift toward more inclusive support structures.

🟣 Vladislava Tcaci from the Municipality of Străşeni shared hands-on experience with dementia and elderly care, showing how local solutions can make a real impact in everyday life.

🟣 Andrian Buga of CASMED introduced innovative digital tools that are helping bring homecare services to even the most remote communities—highlighting the potential of tech-enabled outreach.

🟣 Natalia Carafazi from Hospice Angelus offered a powerful session on palliative care, emphasizing the importance of dignity and compassion in end-of-life support.

🙏 Special thanks to our partner Agapédia Moldova for their excellent collaboration, and to all 55 participants who joined on short notice—you made this event truly memorable!
