The 2030 Danube Region Digital Innovation Strategy for Circular Construction represents a joint effort of 13 partner countries to modernize one of the most resource-intensive sectors of the economy. It builds upon four comprehensive studies carried out in 2024–2025 and identifies both the urgent need for transformation and the pathways to achieve it.

The strategy sets out a vision for 2030: to position the Danube Region as a European leader in digital and circular construction. It proposes five strategic pillars, a phased Transnational Action Plan (TAP) for every participating country (13 TAPs), and a governance model that relies on multi-level coordination. Expected impacts include a 70% recycling rate for construction and demolition waste, widespread adoption of BIM and digital twins, and the creation of thousands of green jobs through Circular Economy (CE) - driven business models.
