Circular DigiBuild selected as an EUSDR PA 8 Lighthouse Project

Circular DigiBuild has been selected as one of 30 lighthouse projects of Priority Area 8 "Competitiveness of Enterprises" of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR PA 8). The project was chosen as the lighthouse for Bulgaria in the field of digitisation, artificial intelligence, the Metaverse and virtual worlds.

The selection is part of the PA 8 study "Identification of lighthouse projects in the Danube Region and communication measures", carried out on behalf of the PA 8 coordinators at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg by Steinbeis Europa Zentrum. Projects, initiatives and good practices from across the Danube region first completed a self-evaluation; after the assessment, the 30 strongest were chosen to be presented in the study, on the PA 8 website and in presentations as examples that other organisations and regions can replicate.

As a lighthouse project, Circular DigiBuild was also invited to present its work at the EUSDR PA 8 exhibition booth at KONGRESS BW – the Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Congress Baden-Württemberg, held on 22–23 October 2025 at the Liederhalle in Stuttgart – together with other PA 8 flagship and lighthouse projects in the field of circular economy and bioeconomy.

The recognition confirms the value of the project's approach – combining digital technologies with circular economy principles to make construction in the Danube region cleaner and more resource-efficient – and gives its results wider visibility across the Danube Region Strategy community.
