First Year Review Meeting: Danube Indeet progress presented and discussed
We were presenting our first results on the 4-5th March, 2025 in Banja Luka. Our Project Officer, Mr. Horst Schindler joined the partnership to observe the project progress. In the following, we are providing a short summary of what has been done since the 1st of January, 2024.
The Legal Analysis is now available on our website. This deliverable provides a comprehensive analysis of the policy and legal frameworks related to renewable hydrogen and vehicle-to-X (V2X) technologies in the participating countries. The document aims to assess the progress of national legal systems in addressing these critical energy topics and to create a comparative overview that highlights key considerations.
The Danube Indeet project team
Not only the Legal Analysis was presented during our First Year Review, but an overview of the soon-to-be-finalized Infrastructure Analyses was discussed, and more importantly, a current state of the Danube Indeet Model (see the picture below) was shown. Users will be able to interact and set different parameters. Those who are not yet experienced with all the technical details contained within the model will benefit from tooltips and guidelines, as well as baseline values that helps them if they are not sure how to set a certain parameter.
The Danube Indeet Model as a standalone application
The testing of the model supported by local and regional stakeholders will start in the second half of the year.
Our current activities support the project by exploring the factors behind the acceptance of EVs, V2G as well as hydrogen and FCV. Acceptance factors will be identified in each participating region via surveys to be conducted among key stakeholders and the general public. Based on the results, an Action Plan will be created by the partnership to increase support for hydrogen, V2G and the Danube Indeet Model.
In the meantime, business opportunities are elaborated by the partners, considering legal or technological barriers hampering the roll-out of certain business ideas. The goal is to compose a set of business opportunities that will 1) help to convince policy makers to uptake the developed strategy, and 2) provide ideas for potential investors, energy planners, communities, energy suppliers etc. for establishing green businesses. Business models explore renewable energy sources, e-mobility and green hydrogen. Partners identified local opportunities that will be analysed and explored in detail.
During this semester, we are happy to be able to share more project results.
The following meeting will take place in Senec, Slovakia, in June 2025.
