Who We Are
A cross-border alliance of 15 partners from 6 Danube countries - Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine - universities, NGOs, regional authorities and professional organisations who decided that the rural villages of the Danube Region deserve the same quality of professional attention that cities take for granted. Not charity. Not tourism branding. Not another report that sits on a shelf. We bring architects, landscape planners, heritage specialists and sustainability experts directly into village communities - to listen first, then to co-create tools that the communities themselves can use long after we leave. Architecture and Rural Landscape Identity Guides, built from the bottom up. Governance structures that give village clusters real agency. Knowledge that stays. Seven pilot micro-regions. Six countries. One river connecting them all. Because the Danube's villages are not problems to be managed. They are landscapes with stories, materials, traditions and knowledge.
