DanubeSediment_Q2 at the SedNet Conference 2025

🌍 DanubeSediment_Q2 at the SedNet Conference 2025 🌊

We’re proud to share that Sandor Baranya (BME) presented our project “DanubeSediment_Q2 – Sustainable, Integrated Transnational Sediment Quantity and Quality Management in the Danube River Basin” at the 14th International SedNet Conference in Madrid, Spain (6–10 October 2025).

Presented in the session “Sediment Management Concepts and Policy”, the talk reached an audience of around 40 experts and stakeholders passionate about sustainable sediment management across Europe.

SedNet – the European Sediment Network – brings together scientists, policy-makers, and practitioners to promote holistic and transboundary approaches to sediment management. Its mission: integrating sediment issues into European strategies and policies to support a healthy aquatic environment.

In one of the pictures from the presentation, you can see the Evros River meandering beautifully through the landscape – a perfect reminder of the dynamic nature of river systems and the importance of sustainable sediment management. 🌿🌊

We’re delighted that DanubeSediment_Q2 could contribute to this exchange and share insights on improving sediment quantity and quality management throughout the Danube River Basin. 🤝
