DanubeSediment_Q2 Meeting at Technical University of Munich!

In March, we were in Munich for our third DanubeSediment_Q2 partner and associated strategic partner meeting! The day started with our First Year Review with, where we reflected on our progress and set the course for the future.

Key discussions focused on:
✅ Advancing the new HYMO method
✅ Strengthening stakeholder collaboration
✅ Progressing towards an Integrated Sediment Management Plan

In the afternoon, despite the pouring rain, we explored the beautifully renatured Isar—a great opportunity to exchange insights on our project, the restoration site, fish pass, and Munich’s flood protection strategies.

On Day 2, we had the opportunity to dive deep into our work, exchanging updates, tackling challenges, and discussing key project aspects. Some of our main topics included:
🔹 Pollutants in sediments – understanding their distribution and relationship to flow discharge
🔹 Potential effects of proposed measures – ensuring sustainable solutions
🔹 Modelling progress at our pilot sites – assessing current status and next steps
After a long and productive day, our partners are now heading home, carrying fresh insights and action points for the future.
🙏 A huge thank you to everyone for your dedication and contributions! Looking forward to our next steps together.
