DRWO4.0: Transnational Workshop - Gradište, Croatia

On November 20, 2024, the Transnational Workshop of the DRWO4.0 project took place at the Competence Centre Ltd. in Gradište. This hybrid event allowed experts from across the Danube region to participate in discussions on the integration of innovative Industry 4.0 (I4.0) solutions in the wood sector.

The workshop covered following topics:

• Industry 4.0 Capacity: A detailed overview of the potential of I4.0 and its applicability to the forestry and wood industry, with a focus on stakeholder feedback and previous thematic events.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Consolidating existing data and gathering new insights on the application of I4.0 in the sector, aimed at strengthening collaboration amongst partners.
• Best Practices and Methodologies: Presentation of successful examples and approaches that enable the implementation of I4.0 solutions in the wood sector.
• Interdisciplinary Connections: A discussion on opportunities for linking wood sector with technologies such as ICT, mechatronics and the Internet of Things (IoT) to develop smart and digital solutions based on I4.0 technologies.

This event served as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the collaboration needed to integrate Industry 4.0 solutions into the wood industry and forestry.
