HARMONMISSIONS PLATFORMS HAVE BEEN LAUNCHED

This January a dedicated HARMONMISSIONS website was launched, accessible via www.harmonmissions.eu. It shall serve 3 project platforms that were recently launched – A platform for sharing lessons learned at the regional level (SHARED), a European Mission Observatory (EMO), and a Platform for sharing best practices toward Climate City Contract (CCC).

Platforms functionalities

SHARED

The SHARED platform connects stakeholders across the Danube Region to resources, projects, and insights supporting EU Climate Missions. Together, we’re working toward a more sustainable future through knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation.

SHARED is a comprehensive digital platform designed to support and accelerate the EU Climate Missions. Through tools like the Project Repository, Event Calendar, and Knowledge Base, SHARED connects stakeholders to vital resources and insights, making collaboration easier and more effective in achieving climate adaptation and sustainability goals. Discover new projects, learn best practices, and engage with others working towards a greener future.

European Mission Observatory (EMO)

The European Mission Observatory (EMO) platform is a dynamic hub designed to support and enhance engagement with the European Union's Mission policies across the Danube Region (DR). The EMO platform provides a central space for collaboration, information sharing, and community building among stakeholders from various sectors.

What is the EMO Platform?
The EMO platform serves as a comprehensive resource for stakeholders involved in EU Missions, offering tools and features that enable users to:

·       Stay informed about the latest updates on EU Mission policies, projects, and funding opportunities.

·       Search for partners and establish collaborations through an innovative partner matching tool.

·       Access a robust library of best practices, legislative updates, and policy information.

·       Participate in events and discussions to share knowledge, raise awareness, and build networks.

Our Missions

The EMO platform is dedicated to fostering active involvement in EU Missions, helping stakeholders from the Danube Region connect, collaborate, and drive impactful projects. By providing up-to-date information and facilitating partnerships, the EMO platform ensures that DR actors remain at the forefront of EU Mission initiatives.

Key Features

·       Stakeholder Directory: Discover and connect with key actors across sectors.

·       Resource Library: Access valuable insights, best practices, and policy updates.

·       Collaboration Tools: Find partners and explore funding opportunities.

·       Event Announcements: Stay updated on upcoming events and activities.

Climate City Contract (CCC)

On this platform, we will present experiences, tips and inspiration on preparation, ecosystem creation and implementation of the CCC from cities that have already embarked or are preparing to embark on a transition path to climate neutrality.

On this platform you will find:

·       Papers and Data: The collection and compilation of data from internal (national, regional, local) documents, strategies and datasets is the starting point for describing the current state of the city/theme/idea/vision and in all climate-relevant sectors (Energy, Transport, Waste, Industrial processes, Agriculture, forestry and land use). We invite you to explore what types of documents, data, and information are good to have in place in the preliminary phase of CCC development.

·       People and partners: Ecosystem mapping, stakeholder engagement systems, stakeholder identification and validation process is an important part of the process of recognizing all potential partners in our territory. We need to include the public sector, private sector, educational institutions, non-profit sector, as well as residents in this ecosystem. It is these partners that will drive the transformation together with you. Come find out why creating an ecosystem with existing stakeholder groups and future partners and other potential stakeholders is important and how to communicate effectively.  Tools and practices of behavioral change, participatory democracy and change management will be also mentioned as necessary frameworks for smoother transformational approaches and strategies towards individual citizens, organizations and other stakeholders.

·   Money and Resources: A common approach to developing a vision for the city's future - strategies, actions, investments, implementations, sharing successes and failures - is key to processing the CCC.  Come see how financial and investment planning can be provided for the entire transformation process over the years with identified stakeholders and partners, selected owners and competencies, roadmaps created, evaluation processes and methods, and regular monitoring and review throughout the transformation.

By providing services of these platforms, the HARMONMISSIONS project intention is to facilitate transnational cooperation between EU Missions’ national and regional authorities to identify and share good practices and raise participation in the EU Missions in general.
