Youth Mental Health Lab#1 - Bosnia and Herzegovina
Organised by Amica Educa and Ministry of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, 11. - 12. 11. 2024, TuzlaYouth Mental Health Lab 1 enabled collaboration of diverse stakeholders, including public institutions, formal and non-formal education sectors, youth organizations, and social services, and young people. Aiming to address youth mental health challenges and develop innovative and sustainable approaches to support youth mental health in real-life contexts, this workshop was welcomed as much needed intersectoral collaboration on this important topic.
In an interactive and dynamic atmosphere, participants have identified key youth mental health challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a spotlight on Tuzla Canton, and through thoughtful conversation and discussion identified actionable solutions to these challenges, to be further developed in upcoming project phases.
Furthermore, participants were presented with the MEET project, and introduced with Good Practices Catalogue and explored how these resources can be used to enhance youth mental health support in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This collaborative initiative marks an important step toward creating a more supportive environment for the mental well-being of young people in our communities. Moving forward, we are excited to refine these ideas in future labs and build sustainable networks of support for youth.
