Study Visit Nuremberg

[p]Between May 28 and 29, a study visit took place in Nuremberg as part of the RTIT >> project. Thirteen project partners from eight countries have come together to exchange ideas about knowledge, technology and innovation transfer with focus on materials and material technology.

In addition to information about transfer in Bavaria, cross-clustering and the innovation strategy, the host, Bayern Innovative, presented several projects with examples of good practice from Bavaria in the thematic area of building knowhow communities and sparking innovation, as well as a set of efficient tools for RTI transfer and creative methods in workshops about idea generation.  [/p][p]During the event, the representative from the department of Material & Production at Bayern Innovative held an interactive workshop of the innovations in textile industry. In addition, another creative workshop was held on the topic of discovering design management and âFrom Idea to Business Model”. The hosts also shared examples of success stories of recycling in use.[/p][p]The event was an opportunity for a partner meeting, to summarize the results, timeline, deliverables, knowhow communities and internal contribution of organizations. The partners reviewed the report of the activities of policy mapping and identification of shortcomings and opportunities.[/p][p]Also, the next steps, roles and responsibilities in the implementation of project activities were planned.

The study trip also included the visit to the Institute for Chemistry, Material and Product Development (OHM-CMP) at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm, during which participants had a first sight experience in seeing productions of various materials in modernly equipped laboratory.

The project's goal is to support SMEs in the materials sector over the next two years with the help of knowledge communities in the Danube region. This region plays a key role in the production and manufacturing of materials.[/p][p]The project is implemented within the Danube Region Programme, and is co-financed by the European Union.[/p]
