Workshops Announcement
The RTIT>> project within the thematic group of Biobased Materials, is organizing online educational workshops for members of its consortium of 13 project partners, through which each partner will enhance capacities and learn what is important to us in thematic areas.
The first workshop will explore the architectural application and structural mechanism of Timber Concrete Composites, with a special focus on the rehabilitation of historical timber floors.
The speaker, Asist. Prof. Tamas Juhasz has been a faculty member at the University of Pecs in Hungary since 2009. Upon completing his studies, he recognized the importance of gaining experience within the structural engineering design industry. In 2016, he obtained licensure as an independent structural engineer and has since contributed to the design of over one hundred buildings. Mr. Juhasz places a strong emphasis on the preservation of architectural heritage and prioritizes sustainability in his work. Additionally, he has engaged in research on Timber Concrete Composites in collaboration with the Metropolitan State University of Denver, USA.
The project is implemented within the Danube Region Programme and is co-financed by the European Union.
