Workshop “RTIT>> Knowledge Community: Collaborative Workshop” was held at IEC Tehnopolis
On March 10, 2026, the collaborative workshop “RTIT>> Knowledge Community: Collaborative Workshop” was held at IEC Tehnopolis, focusing on the transfer of research, technology and innovation (RTI) in the field of materials, within the RTIT – Knowhow Communities for Accelerating RTI Transfer in the Danube Region project.
The workshop brought together representatives of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, researchers, university professors, policymakers, and business support organizations, with the aim of strengthening collaboration between science and industry and initiating a national knowledge community in the field of materials and materials technology.
Through interactive sessions, participants explored key topics such as mapping needs and challenges in science–industry cooperation, as well as the development and application of innovative solutions in the areas of bio-based, sustainable and advanced materials.
Through case studies and hands-on group work, RTIT tools were tested, including the innovation canvas, stakeholder mapping and innovation readiness self-assessment, with a focus on their practical application in both business and research environments. Particular emphasis was placed on fostering connections among stakeholders through concrete examples of “from lab to market” and vice versa.
The workshop marks the beginning of a broader support cycle, within which selected companies will receive tailored mentoring, additional training and opportunities to engage in upcoming national and transnational project activities.
