Kick-off Partner Meeting

Ilirska Bistrica Hosts First Meeting of Transdinarica2 Project Partners

In April 2025, Ilirska Bistrica welcomed partners from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro for the first meeting of the "Transformation with Trans Dinarica" project (Transdinarica 2). The project aims to boost the economic and social impact of tourism along the 3,364 km Trans Dinarica cycling route.

During the two-day event, partners explored the local area, visited a developing cycling hotel, and toured the local tourist info center (TIC), which will serve as a hub for cyclists. They also visited the Škocjan Caves Park, a project partner, and had the option to cycle or tour the caves.

The project, co-funded by the Interreg Danube program, also seeks to connect Trans Dinarica with the popular Alpe Adria route, attracting more cyclists and benefiting local communities.
