TRANSDINARICA2 at Tourism Expo Sarajevo

The international Trans Dinarica cycling route and the TRANSDINARICA2 project were presented at Tourism Expo Sarajevo, held from 22 to 24 October 2026. The promotion formed part of the joint participation of the City of Konjic and the “PRVI KORAK” Economic Development Agency, Konjic, under the “Welcome to Konjic” brand.

The presentation focused on opportunities to develop sustainable tourism by connecting the cycling route with local tourism services, cultural heritage and outdoor activities. Visitors discovered how a journey along Trans Dinarica could be enriched with rafting on the Neretva River, visits to Tito’s Bunker and other museums, relaxation at Boračko Lake, and experiences showcasing local woodcarving traditions and gastronomy.

Under the slogan “Konjic – experience more, stay an extra day”, the presentation highlighted how these attractions and activities can be brought together into a complete visitor experience. This approach is central to the local activities of the TRANSDINARICA2 project, which aim to encourage longer stays, increase the use of local services and strengthen tourism’s contribution to the local economy.

Local tourism stakeholders played an important role in the joint presentation, sharing their offers and experiences directly with visitors. Participation in the fair provided an opportunity to promote the project’s objectives, exchange knowledge and establish new contacts, highlighting the importance of cooperation in developing a high-quality, integrated tourism offer along Trans Dinarica.
