New Tools for a New Start: Mental Readiness Curriculum in Progress

Partners of the Back on Track project are jointly developing a new mental readiness curriculum to support NEET youth in rural areas of the Danube Region.

Partners of the Back on Track project are jointly developing a new mental readiness curriculum to support NEET youth in rural areas of the Danube Region.

Running from January to June 2025, the curriculum covers five key topics: self-knowledge, mental health, personal development, goal setting, and stress management.

These modules are delivered through interactive workshops designed to build confidence, emotional resilience, and life planning skills.

Workshops are  implemented across partner countries, engaging over 100 NEET youth. Feedback from participants will help shape the final version of the curriculum, to be published at the end of June,  2025.

This mental readiness curriculum is more than just a set of workshops. It is a stepping stone for NEET youth—especially those in isolated or disadvantaged areas—to rebuild confidence, take ownership of their personal growth, and move toward education, employment, or entrepreneurship.

By focusing on mental and emotional development, Back on Track offers a unique, human-centered path forward for young people who have been left behind.

This collaborative effort aims to offer practical tools for NEET youth to reconnect with education, employment, or entrepreneurship.
