Sandra Poleksić: Cooperation with Other Regions Opens the Door to Valuable Knowledge and Experience

As part of the transnational CAST project – Culture trAnSforming communities and economies, the Tourism Organisation of Vojvodina, with the support of the Tourism Organisation of Sremski Karlovci, carried out a cultural action aimed at engaging the local community and gathering citizens’ perspectives on culture, tourism and sustainable local development. Sremski Karlovci serve as a pilot area for testing an inclusive approach that connects cultural activities with tourism and encourages greater involvement of local residents in creating and developing tourism experiences. The action was held as part of KultFest, within the Danube Festival Caravan, bringing together culture, local heritage, community participation and tourism. The activities contribute to the wider goal of the CAST project: developing practical approaches that can strengthen social inclusion, community connections and sustainable tourism development across the Danube Region.
