FUNDA Kick-off event

On behalf of Lechner Non-profit Ltd., we are pleased to invite you to the kick-off conference of the FUNDA project,
which will take place on 15 May 2025 in Budapest, Hungary.

Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) are becoming increasingly important in EU-level regional development, yet the governance structures and tools supporting their integrated planning and cooperation are still under development in many parts of the Danube Region. The FUNDA project aims to address this gap by improving the coherence of governance methodologies, testing FUA-specific solutions, and promoting transnational collaboration through a model network of engaged cities and stakeholders – the FUA-NET.

The morning session of the conference will focus on introducing the project’s objectives and its relevance to the Danube Region and EU strategies. It will also feature contributions from policy-makers and professionals engaged in FUA-related development. The afternoon session is dedicated to internal discussions among project partners on upcoming activities.
