September 2025 – Baseline Study finalised
The FUNDA consortium has finalised the Functional Urban Areas (FUA) Baseline Study, a comprehensive overview of national frameworks, planning methods and existing strategies related to FUAs across 11 partner countries in the Danube Region. Based on desk research, interviews and questionnaires, the study identifies the current status, development processes and institutional capacities of FUAs, providing a shared knowledge base for the next project phases.
This joint effort ensures a harmonised approach to understanding FUA governance and lays a solid foundation for the upcoming integrated planning, pilot activities and the development of the transnational governance methodology within FUNDA.
