GeoNetSee at the OECD-EC project Supporting Managing Authorities to Build the Capacity of Cohesion Policy Beneficiaries

Representatives of GeoNetSee Lead Partner - School of Electrical Engineering, participated on July 3rd and 4th at a two-day workshop for the pilot project initiated by European Commission – Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), implemented in cooperation with OECD, with the aim of supporting the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat of the Danube Region Programme (DRP) to build beneficiary capacity. The workshop consisted of a focus group on the first day, and roundtable sessions throughout the second day.

The workshop saw active participation of representatives of Interreg DRP lead partners, representatives from the European Commission and the OECD, from different departments of the DRP's MA/JS, national contact points and first level controllers. The workshop was an excellent opportunity for beneficiaries to give back to the Programme bodies in the form of feedback, discussions and concrete actions to address the priorities identified, ultimately furthering the understanding of the needs and capabilities of all parties involved.
