Setup of GNS systems in Croatian pilot site Hum na Sutli
In cooperation with our colleagues from the International Burch University, an array of the developed GNS systems were installed in Croatian pilot site - Hum na Sutli. Here, a private residence and a bakery are directly endangered by a massive and active landslide. Real-time monitoring data from the operating GNS sensors will provide a detailed insight into the intensity and direction of land movements, leading to a better understanding of triggering mechanisms, risk prognosis, and potentially, mitigation strategies. Moreover, a synergetic cooperation was establish with a project SmartGNSS (funded by the Interreg EmBRACE program) in the same pilot site, with aim of improving data quality and quantity, as well as the verification of the measured data in field settings.
