Kick-off Conference in April 2024, Kranj

Kick-off Conference and Study Visit

The older generation brings a unique set of skills to the table, with knowledge and attributes that complement those of younger colleagues, which can only create a more rounded, diverse, and resilient organisation and workplace. - In this spirit, the Slovenian transport company Sigr Bizjak Transport operates, which was one of the destinations of the study tour organized within the framework of the opening conference.

During the conference we heard several good practices and implemented measures from not only from partners, but guest speakers aimed at effective employment of the 55+ age group and the creation of work-life balance of this generation.

The event was opened by Franja Gabrovšek Schmidt, Managing Director of BSC Kranj, followed by Irene Castillo Abad, Project Manager of IP Center, who presented the intervention logic of the project. This was followed by Jessye Muller from Eurofound's Research Department, who presented research aims at identifying national policy initiatives (local, regional, or national level) as well as sectoral and company practices that address and contribute to or support keeping (or reintegrating) older workers in the labour market.

The conference was held in a hybrid format, so stakeholders and interested parties could easily join online.
