➤ 24 September 2026 (Thursday) | 9:30 AM–1:30 PM
➤ Makád, Event Square // Jegenyesor 4, 2322

On 24 September 2026, the Contemporary Architecture Centre (KÉK) is hosting a professional conference in Makád, titled HelyiÉRTÉK, as part of the Interreg PlaceCRAFT project.

The event centres on heritage, community, connections, and sustainable tourism. Drawing on local and regional good practices, we'll explore how local assets can become real opportunities, and how cooperation between regional stakeholders, municipalities, and tourism organisations can be strengthened.

The morning programme showcases a range of local and regional good practices, including insights from the PlaceCRAFT project, heritage-focused festivals, and settlement development initiatives, alongside successful local examples such as the Open Gates programme in Zalaszentgrót and the entrepreneurial cooperation behind the Balaton Circle. The programme also highlights initiatives from the southern part of Csepel Island, including Vadvirágom, the Rock Vígkend festival, and the Makád producers' market.

The day closes with the first Szigetzug Tourism Breakfast, launched with the intention of becoming a tradition, offering local stakeholders the chance to meet in person, build connections, and discuss shared opportunities.

The conference aims to strengthen regional tourism connections and cooperation, and to encourage the exchange of experience and new professional relationships.

Participation is free, but registration is required.
