Over the course of three days, representatives of local and regional authorities, urban regeneration experts, investors, civil society organizations and academia discussed the challenges and opportunities related to the transformation of post-industrial small and medium-sized towns across the Danube Region.

Special attention was given to good practice examples and transformation experiences from towns undergoing the regeneration of former industrial areas, multi-stakeholder governance, as well as to financing models for urban regeneration, public-private partnerships and opportunities provided by European funding instruments and programmes, including Interreg, Just Transition and the New European Bauhaus initiative.

The conference contributed to knowledge exchange, networking among relevant stakeholders and the advancement of activities within the ReInd-BBG project, with a particular focus on building collaboration networks and developing sustainable models for industrial heritage regeneration across the Danube region.
