Partners Gather in Vratsa for Meeting and Study Visit

The partner meeting and study visit within the project took place on October 8–9, 2025, in Vratsa, Bulgaria. The event was hosted by project partners Chamber of Commerce Vratsa and the Municipality of Vratsa.

The meeting began with welcome addresses by Ms. Iliana Filipova, President of the Chamber of Commerce Vratsa, and Ms. Petya Dolapchieva, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Vratsa.

Throughout the first day, project partners shared experiences and updates on the progress of their respective pilot locations. Special attention was given to training sessions and materials focused on public-private cooperation, as well as the presentation of promotional and investor materials currently in development.

Participants also took part in group discussions and workshops, focusing on actions implemented in the field and on the exchange of tools and knowledge between project partners.

After the working sessions, the group visited the pilot site in Vratsa – the Student Center, followed by a tour of the city's industrial heritage. A visit was also made to the company Cheh-Plast, where the director, Mr. Dimitar Ivanov, welcomed the group and shared insights into the transformation of their production facilities in line with the principle "Brown is better than Green."

The second day continued with individual partner consultations, a presentation on geo-mapping of brownfield locations in the Danube Region, and discussion on the development of a transnational roadmap for reindustrialization. A portion of the agenda was dedicated to communication activities led by RDA Bačka.
