TRANSDINARICA2 Newsletter Nr.3
What can you expect in the third TRANSDINARICA2 newsletter?
This edition takes you along the Trans Dinarica route, combining inspiring travel stories, project progress and local voices from the pilot areas. We open with an interview with Joanna Chmara, an experienced cycle traveller and author, who shares her personal journey through the Balkans, her impressions of the route, encounters with local communities, and practical advice for future cyclists.
The newsletter also brings important project updates, including the newly developed connection routes between the Alpe-Adria Cycling Route and the Trans Dinarica Cycling Route, offering cyclists new opportunities to extend their journeys from Austria and Italy across Slovenia and further along the Trans Dinarica.
Readers will also find highlights from the third TRANSDINARICA2 partner meeting held in Zlatibor, where project partners discussed pilot destinations, stakeholder survey results, TD HUBs and communication activities. A study trip around Zlatibor showcased the region’s natural and cultural attractions, including Stopić Cave and the open-air museum in Sirogojno.
Finally, this issue presents stakeholder workshops held in Žabljak, Konjic, Ilirska Bistrica and Zlatibor, demonstrating how local participation is shaping sustainable tourism development across the route.
