Dissemination activity and an opportunity to present the project to a international audience

FITUR international fair takes place in Madrid, Spain and stands among the most prestigious tourism fairs, uniting the world’s key destinations, tourism organisations, and high‑level decision‑makers. It is a central hub for presenting innovations, forging strategic partnerships, and defining the trends that will shape the future of global travel.

This year the fair FITUR 2026 took place from 21st – 25th January, and National Tourism Organisations of Serbia and Montenegro showcased the TRANSDINARICA2 project prominently at their stands. Throughout the entire fair, both countries featured posters with detailed explanations of the project’s goals and activities, while Serbia additionally presented an illuminated display, placed in a central position at its highly visited stand, drawing strong attention from visitors and partners.

The Serbian stand also attracted significant media interest, including visits from RTS – Radio Television of Serbia and Tanjug, who reported on the country’s participation and promotional activities at FITUR. In addition, the stand was honoured by official visits from two members of the Government of Serbia: the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Economy, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, underscoring the importance of Serbia’s presence and initiatives at this year’s fair.
