Exciting news from our project! 🌍✨

The first methodological guidelines of the Danube Region climate database have already been completed, and discussions on climate data sharing have started. 🤝

👉 Climatological data availability and quality varies across Danube region countries, making it difficult to effectively address the impacts of climate change and providing background for vulnerability assessments. To tackle this challenge, the Danube-ADAPT project aims to develop grid-point-based databases for both past and future climates, using homogenized observational climate data for the past and regional climate model outputs for future conditions.

🎉 Today’s other highlight is welcoming our first follower organization — the Bulgarian National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology! They are joining the data-sharing process, contributing to the project’s success. We hope they will also benefit from the climate database and related results. We continue to seek other follower organisations from the DR countries which are not covered by the project yet.

Collaboration makes us stronger — and this is just the beginning! 💪🌦
