Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj (SRC Bistra Ptuj)

Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj (SRC Bistra Ptuj) is a key development institution in north-east Slovenia, bridging public and private sectors. It promotes regional growth by fostering collaboration between universities, research institutes, and businesses, transferring knowledge to SMEs and stakeholders. Focusing on climate change vulnerability and resilience, it prepares and monitors local adaptation plans, builds stakeholder capacity, and engages multi-level actors, from local to national decision-makers, SMEs, financial institutions, and citizens. Projects emphasize reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving climate adaptation policies, especially at the local level. Within the project, SRC Bistra Ptuj will develop a climate inventory risk map, contribute to climate impact chains, coordinate testing of the vulnerability assessment framework, participate in the Slovenian pilot, and evaluate pilots at project level. It will also support REGEA in policy integration, e-learning material preparation, and national roadmap creation with stakeholder workshops.
