Šibenik-Knin County

Šibenik-Knin County (SKC) is a regional self-government entity responsible for key areas such as education, health, urban planning, economic development, and environmental protection. With significant expertise in managing EU-funded projects, SKC focuses on sustainable development while addressing climate change challenges.

Notable initiatives include the Plan of Integrated Coastal Zone Management and the AdriAdapt project, which has created an information platform to enhance climate resilience in Adriatic coastal communities. SKC's work also covers forest fire prevention, pollution monitoring, and innovation in cross-border collaboration.

To the Danube-ADAPT project, SKC will contribute its climate adaptation experience, managing partner-level tasks, organizing capacity-building events, and engaging in activities to develop climate risk inventories, vulnerability assessments, and policy platforms. SKC will collaborate with key stakeholders to create climate adaptation roadmaps, strengthen resilience, and improve climate change adaptation strategies across the region.
