The National Meteorological Administration of Romania serves as the national authority in the field of meteorology and is responsible for various activities related to weather forecasting, climate monitoring research, education, training and international cooperation. National Meteorological Administration brings extensive knowledge and expertise in the DANUBE-ADAPT project particularly in the areas of climate modelling, data analysis and impact assessments.
This expertise is valuable for ensuring that the climatological database and vulnerability assessment framework developed for the Danube Region are relevant and useful for policymakers and stakeholders in the region.
Experts from National Meteorological Administration will collaborate with partners to shape the structure and content of the Danube Region Adaptation Policy Support Platform and the e-learning material on vulnerability assessments. The Romanian project team key persons are Dr. Roxana Bojariu (team manager) and Dr. Roxana Burcea (communication manager).
