Danube Wood(s) Route at the Tourist Guide’s Conference in Varna, Bulgaria
The Danube Wood(s) Route project was proudly presented at the Tourist Guide’s Conference in Varna on February 20, 2026.
The event was jointly organized by the Union of the Tour Guides in Bulgaria and the Varna Economic Development Agency on the occasion of International Tour Guide Day and the 35th anniversary of the Union of Tour Guides in Bulgaria.
The project was presented by M.Sc. Helena Cvenkel, Project Manager and Director for Research and Development at the BSC Kranj Regional Development Agency of Gorenjska.
The Danube Wood(s) Route Web-App and project video attracted strong interest from more than 100 attendees — including Union members, project partners, local businesses, and NGOs.
The conference also featured welcome addresses from representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Varna Municipality, highlighting the importance of sustainable tourism initiatives and cross-border cooperation.
