Inventory of forests, wood heritage and tourism infrastructure

Earlier in the project, partners carried out a comprehensive Inventory report of natural and cultural assets of forests and wood and touristic infrastructure with baseline standards and recommendations. The work focused on identifying natural assets, cultural heritage linked to local wood, and touristic infrastructure across all partner countries. It included protected and high-value forests, biodiversity, traditional and modern uses of wood, as well as tourism services and best practice examples. These findings have already served as a valuable basis for project activities and for shaping approaches to sustainable development in the region.

While the database containing the full results has been available to partners, we are now able to share the outcomes more widely through a digital map. With its multiple thematic layers, the map visualizes key results at a glance, highlights potential synergies, and makes cross-links and gaps easier to identify.
