Two Days of Training Held in Varna
On 6–7 November 2025, VEDA hosted a two-day training programme for tourist guides and local stakeholders dedicated to the Danube Wood(s) Route. The event aimed to strengthen knowledge about the region’s natural heritage and support the development of sustainable tourism products connected to forests, culture, and local traditions.
The first day took place at the Euxinograd Residency, where participants explored the rich diversity of trees and plants in the area. They engaged in practical plant-identification exercises, visited the greenhouse, and learned about methods of plant propagation. The day concluded with discussions on how natural and cultural heritage can be effectively integrated into eco-tourism products along the route.
The second day was organised at the Zharava Winery, where the group learned about the winery’s history and its cultural ties to local woodlands. Participants explored the development of unique wine tourism products, the winery’s philosophy, and its exclusive limited-edition wines.
The training provided two days of learning and exchange, combining nature, culture, and gastronomy. It offered valuable insights and contributed to the creation of meaningful and sustainable tourism experiences within the Danube Wood(s) Route.
