DINAMIC DANUBE

The DINAMIC DANUBE project 🌍 represents a strategic partnership of 17 organizations, combining academic expertise and business support capabilities to jointly address the complex socio-economic challenges facing rural areas in the Danube Region. The primary focus is on mitigating the depopulation trend that threatens the region's economic backbone – small family farms, which are the main target group of this project - by strengthening their capacities through lifelong learning, mentorship and technology introduction. 

Strategic Objectives in Focus

SO1 - Capacity Building and Skills Upscaling in Danube's Bioeconomy Sector 💪💙💚🤎 

The first objective (SO1) of the DINAMIC DANUBE project is to assess and outline the current state of the art in the field of bioeconomy and precision farming in the Danube's area in order to enable sector's sustainable growth with the emphasis on supporting small family farms through improved education support. The activities foreseen creation of the joint European- wide bioeconomy network, drafting on a joint study and action plan on the opportunities and challenges of the less developed partner countries and finally development of the joint curriculum that is to be developed and piloted for 50 small family farms participants all over Danube's area, with a strong focus on women participants.

SO2 - Innovation Fostering 💡💫 

SO2 objective is dedicated towards practical knowledge sharing through mentorship programme and implementation and joint pilot actions in the partner areas in order to boost small family farms' business performances by familiarizing them with the contemporary, easy to use and economically affordable precision farming technologies. Furthermore, the SO2 is ensuring the capitalization of the previous results from the existing and ongoing agri-support initiatives and foresees the alignment.

SO3 - Networking Institutional and Policy Support and Influence 📣

The objective of the SO3 is to ensure involvement of the wider network of the relevant actors on the Danube's and European level in order to disseminate the developed practices and solutions and integrate the findings into the new or existing policies. The proposed activities focus on close work with the decision- makers in the forms of dialogue workshops, involvement of the relevant local or regional stakeholders in the study visits and finally organizing a manufacturing events for the small family farms where they will be able to test and get acquainted with the precision farming technologies more closely.
