Visiting OPG Darko Hrnčević - October 16, 2026

DINAMIC DANUBE Visits OPG Darko Hrnčević to Support Smart Farming and Innovation

As the DINAMIC DANUBE project continues its activities across the Danube Region, collaboration with small family farms remains at the heart of its mission. A recent visit to OPG Darko Hrnčević in Brest Pokupski, Croatia, marked another important step in connecting project activities with real farming practices.

Representatives of RIT Croatia, the project's lead partner, visited the family farm to strengthen cooperation and discuss its involvement in piloting solutions developed within DINAMIC DANUBE.

The project focuses on empowering small family farms, particularly women-owned farms, through digital technologies, innovation, and practical business education. One of its key planned outcomes is an online business education platform tailored to the specific needs and challenges of small family farmers.

Connecting Innovation with Farmers' Needs

Small family farms play an essential role in local food production, rural development, and resilient agri-food supply chains. However, they face increasing challenges related to climate change, market uncertainty, digital transformation, and access to knowledge and technology.

By collaborating directly with farmers such as Darko Hrnčević, DINAMIC DANUBE aims to ensure that its solutions are practical, accessible, and relevant to everyday agricultural operations.

The visit also highlighted the importance of bringing together farmers, researchers, educators, and technology experts to support innovation and sustainable business development in agriculture.

From Project Activities to Practical Implementation

OPG Darko Hrnčević is among the project's collaborators who will contribute to piloting DINAMIC DANUBE solutions. Such cooperation provides an opportunity to connect educational resources and innovative approaches with the actual needs of small family farms.

Through these activities, DINAMIC DANUBE continues working toward its broader goal: strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience of small family farms and agri-food supply chains across the Danube Region.

The visit represents another step toward translating project knowledge and research into practical benefits for farming communities.
