One of the highlights will be the Train-the-Trainers Workshop on Wood in Sustainable Construction, which focuses on the role of wood in eco-friendly building practices. Additionally, the Pilot Environment South – 1st Thematic Meeting will explore energy-efficient mechatronics in wood processing, offering insights into cutting-edge advancements in the field.
These events will bring together key stakeholders from the wood industry, academia, and policy sectors to discuss the transformation of the Danube Region’s wood industry towards Industry 4.0. Over two dynamic days, participants will engage in insightful discussions and presentations, gaining valuable knowledge on sustainable construction and energy-efficient wood processing. This is a unique opportunity to connect with leading experts and innovators in the field.
In addition to these events, we encourage you to explore another remarkable initiative happening in Pécs—the Pollack Expo, organized annually by the University of Pécs Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology. Pollack Expo is much more than an annual trade exhibition; it acts as a vital bridge between academia and industry, fostering collaboration while providing students with invaluable hands-on knowledge and practical experience. Last year’s expo featured over 130 exhibitors and 150+ presentations covering applied informatics, civil engineering, environmental and electrical engineering, architecture, and more.
