DRWO4.0: Interreg Danube lead partners on Capitalization Workshop of PA8 and PA7 for Knowledge Exchange and Boosting Competitiveness

Lead partners of 22 Interreg Danube funded projects across Circular Economy, Technology Transfer, Sustainable Cities and Regions, and Smart Specialisation & Industry 4.0 met on 26-27 March 2025 in Bratislava for a Capitalisation Workshop, hosted by PA7 Knowledge Society and PA8 Competitiveness of Enterprises under the EU Danube Region Strategy.

The workshop aimed to foster knowledge exchange, form synergies, increase project visibility, and promote the transfer of results into practice, especially within companies and start-ups.

Focus group discussions covered three key themes: Sustainable Cities and Regions, Smart Specialisation & Industry 4.0 & Technology Transfer, and Circular Economy. Participants emphasized integrating sustainability principles across all project stages and improving resource efficiency.

Workshop outcomes included clustering knowledge transfer, maximising impact, policy influence, and enhancing cooperation and future opportunities. The event was instrumental in identifying challenges, fostering synergies, and strengthening networks within the Danube region.

With continued support from the EUSDR and the Danube Region Programme, future efforts will focus on further capitalisation, knowledge exchange, and project collaboration to boost innovation and competitiveness in the region.

PA7 and PA8 will continue working with project partners to expand these initiatives. Other interested stakeholders are encouraged to join the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
