Danube Flagship Certificate awarded to DRWO4.0 project in Stuttgart!

On 8th May 2025, 26th Steering Group meeting Priority Area 8 of the EU strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) was held in Stuttgart, Germany.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Competence Centre Ltd, where they were awarded with a certificate for the Strategy Flagship Project - the project DRWO4.0 – Danube Region Wood Industry Transformation Model towards Industry 4.0, where the Competence Centre Ltd is leading partner.

The meeting was opened by the coordinators of Priority Area 8 EUSDR Carmen Hawkins (Ministry of Economy, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, Germany) and Helia Kovačević Grčić (Ministry of Economy, Croatia).

The Meeting included presentations on the PA8 activities; Identification of lighthouse projects in the Danube Region; activities of the PA 8 coordinators' working group; activities of the Danube Strategy Point; and information on the activities of the Youth Council Members.

Flagship Strategy Projects of 2025 - TEX-DAN - Moving forward with circularity in textile and fashion value chains, SpinIT - Boosting IT Spin-offs and Smart Specialization in Danube Region and DRWO4.0 – Danube Region Wood Industry Transformation Model towards Industry 4.0 were presented at the meeting. The aforementioned projects were awarded certificates for Flagship Strategy Project 2025.

Danube Strategy Flagships are projects or processes that contribute to the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), have a clear macro-regional dimension and a multi-level governance approach. They are of high importance for the Danube Region’s economic, social and territorial cohesion and for improving the quality of life in the Danube Region.
