Cahul District Council – INTRODUCING ASSOCIATED PARTNERS (ASP) IN THE DRWO4.0 PROJECT 12/18
Cahul District Council is an associated partner of the project partner CBC within the DRWO4.0 project.
Cahul District Council is the representative body of the population of Cahul district, with autonomy in decision-making, management, and finance. It is composed of 35 councillors elected through universal, equal, direct, secret, and free voting. The Council operates on the principles of local autonomy, decentralization, and citizen participation, supported by 5 specialized advisory committees that ensure the efficiency of its work.
🎯 Within DRWO4.0, Cahul District Council contributes through the following activities:
✔ Providing methodological and logistical support, and access to official data on the development of the regional forest-based sector, aligned with the Cahul District Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2023–2030
✔ Promoting the project and participating in study visits to adopt best practices and gain insights into modern technologies based on Industry 4.0 standards (SO2)
✔ Knowledge transfer during workshops and support in organizing events in line with project activities (SO1, SO2, SO3)
✔ Applying key project outputs – the developed Solution and Action Plan – by integrating them into future development strategies, contributing to the transformation of Cahul region’s economy toward a digital, smart, and sustainable economy (SO3)
Through its institutional expertise and logistical support, Cahul District Council plays a key role in disseminating project results and strengthening the digital and sustainable transformation of the regional economy.
